Thinset or Liquid Nails for granite and marble Description

Thinset or Liquid Nails for Granite (http://tanbrown.org) and (http://maplered.com) Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com)

I searched for discussions on the best method for setting 3/4 Granite (http://tanbrown.org) on 3/4 plywood sub Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) but no luck. I saw a small discussion about Liquid Nails but no results after using it.

I am building my own house and (http://maplered.com) after doing much of it myself, including 750 square feet of tile I thought I would try to install the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops. I can not afford the $12,000 quotes I got from the pros. We'll see how it goes. I hope my back can take it. Those Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) are HEAVY! I fiqured that even if a did a bad job installing the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) it would still look better than formica.

Which method do you guys recomend for setting the slab on the plywood? A thinset mortar bed or using something like the Liquid Nails for Granite (http://tanbrown.org) and (http://maplered.com) Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) ? I know not to use the regular construction Liquid Nails. They have about 20 different kinds of that stuff.

I appoligize if this question comes up often but I could not find it using the search function.

Thanks in advance.
